VILLA

SUGGESTED ACCOMMODATIONS

Tequisquiapan is a charming colonial town located in the heart of central Mexico. Cobblestone streets and bougainvillea clad walls add charm and character to the place. Organised around a central plaza whose arched corridors, small boutiques, galleries and restaurants are overlooked by an impressive 16th century church, the town has roots in a long tradition of local craft-making, including talavera pottery, embroidery, basketweaving and hand-made furniture. Part of Mexico’s wine route, the town hosts the annual Feria Nacional del Queso y el Vino.

The studio is set in a charming colonial house in private grounds five minutes from the town center. Recently renovated, the site's picturesque and secluded location are the perfect venue for immersing youself in your project without distraction.

Our own personal chef, Christopher Gage (Holly’s husband), will serve on-site gourmet lunches.

A popular tourist destination for Americans and Europeans, early risers can take in the beauty of Tequisquiapan and its surrounding area from the sky with a hot air balloon ride, while those wishing to stay on in Tequisquiapan after the course can relax at the nearby spa fed by natural hotsprings, enjoy the 18-hole golf course, or visit the nearby archeological ruins.

The town has recently been designated as a "pueblo magico" (magic town) for its charm and character. It is kept safe and clean by the local residents, including a significant European and American community.
